Seventy percent of employers are currently screening potential employees during the hiring process. Forty-three percent of current employees are being screened by their employers as well. Blog #3 Tips and Tricks Using OneNote

Microsoft Office created one of the best note taking apps called OneNote. It allows the opportunity for students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia , to appreciate the app because of the features it has. These features consist of text that is recited back to you along with highlighting it. It can also divide words into syllables and can even highlight different verbs and syntax. This allows students to learn and truly understand English. A new font was released called Fluent Calibri to make it easier to read. You can find these beneficial tricks in the Learning Tools tab at the top of your OneNote screen.  Another helpful tool that OneNote offers is the ability to do problem solving work. With the assistance of a stylus, you can hand write math problems and the app will teach you how to solve them. This math assistant automatically detects problems that were already in a OneNote page. Every day, millions of people use Google. There are a few tips and tricks that can help make your searches faster. Most users are not using Google to its max potential. Joseph Hindy  teaches us a few things that can make our searches easier. One of the most important things to do is select one of the tabs when searching. Whether it be an image, a video, or shopping. Using quotes is another way to find the content you are looking for. By searching a phrase in quotes, it will eliminate the irrelevant information you were not searching for. One of my personal favorites is using the syntax. You can search for similar websites by searching "related: (fill in the blank)." This is an easy way to find new websites to browse. Google has made it easier for users to create new projects. They made some shortcuts so you can go right from your browser to any Google Doc, Slides, Sheets, or Forms. You simply have to search whatever form of Google you wanted and finish it with ".new....

When building your personal learning network, there are a few important guidelines you should follow. In Denver J. Fowler and Jon Riley's blog, they show the benefits of PLN on Twitter. Knowing who to follow is key. Once you start following people, you can begin to take part in Twitter chats. Getting involved in these chats can help expand the growth of your PLN. It is beneficial to know the dates and times of which they will be occurring so you can grow. This gives you the opportunity to connect and learn from others around the world. First beginning your PLN can be intimidating. It may take a while to finally submit your first tweet. Ellen Lague  shares that it took her six months to send out her first one.
